I am debating on whether to order a quilt batt made from recycled plastic bottles. I believe that it is great stuff for the environment, but is it great for my quilts? That is the question. A queen sized batt uses 20 plastic bottles. That is great, but I use cotton in my quilts and normally I use natural products in my batts.
My favorite batt is wool. I love to handquilt and there is nothing better than wool. The needle truely glides through the batt like butter. I know, sounds dorky, but true. Of course wool is pricey, so I use cotton batts instead.
I guess the only way to know is to try the quilt green batt and see how it goes. Now to find a local dealer.....

I've been thinking about trying this, too. I like cotton myself, but I think if I were going to use a poly batt I'd rather use the green one and at least it would be recyled.
